The castle grounds as well as the rooms are all beautiful, and great for exploring...lots of little hideaways to find, and spectacular views of the river and valley below. There's also easy access to trails from the castle grounds that take you along the tops of the hills in which the castle sits. The staff were fantastic too - the staff member that greeted us for check-in (Mira, if we're remembering her name correctly) even called a local restaurant on our behalf, to order food for dinner.

This place has the atmosphere of a private resort. The reception staff were extremely helpful and even provided an electrical adapter when I realized I had left mine at my previous stop. The included breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, with plentiful choices. We ate dinner at the Puricelli restaurant both nights, and the meals were exceptional. We took most of a day to explore the castle, and only left the property to hike the trail just behind the castle. I will recommend Burg Reichenstein to anyone traveling to this area.

The breakfast spread was impeccable, offering a perfect start to each day of my stay. As a business traveler with unpredictable arrival times, the digital check-in and key-less entry system were a godsend. This feature streamlined the process and made my stay hassle-free. Despite being primarily a business traveler, I deliberately opt for this hotel for its cozy ambiance and welcoming vibe. It's far from being a typical corporate lodging; instead, it offers a charming, homely atmosphere that sets it apart. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking more than just a place to stay; it's an experience in itself
